You are required to attend two live poetry readings during the course of the semester. After you attend each reading, write a review of that reading. The first review is due on Tuesday, March 1; therefore, you must have attended your first reading before this date. Your second review is due on Thursday, May 12. You may complete and post your reviews before these dates.
What to include in your review:
- Give us the basics: poet(s) reading, their publications, the location of the reading, and the date.
- Why did you attend this particular reading?
- Please describe the reading -- the venue, information you learned or gleaned from the poet(s) reading that day, the poetry, the poet's/poets' reading style, etc.
- What did you enjoy about the reading?
- What would have made the reading more enjoyable to you?
The blog format makes it suitable for you to include photos and images. Also, please keep in mind how you arrange the text in your blog to maximize readibility.
